Senator Bob Smith agrees to sponsor Redd-Stack bill
Despite a delay in the vote by the full Senate, the Homeless Trust Fund bill – S2354 – has gained an additional sponsor. The bi-partisan legislation now has two prime sponsors and five co-sponsors. The most recent sponsor is Senator Bob Smith (D-Piscataway).
This is not a Republican or Democratic bill but is a first important step toward ending homelessness in New Jersey. Thus, we continue to strongly encourage our members to contact their State Senators and ask them to both sponsor and support S2354 when it comes to the floor of the Senate. We can provide draft letters upon request. To find out who represents you in the Senate click here.
