Seventy four units for Supportive Housing for the Elderly
Thirty-three new units for
Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities
On January 13, 2009, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced the Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly and Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities awards. All of the applications were submitted last year.
The Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities projects were submitted by three different sponsors.
Cerebral Palsy of North Jersey, Inc. was approved for three projects. The three towns are Livingston, Plainfield and West Orange. The projects will provide supportive housing to fourteen persons. The total capital advance for these projects was $1,805,300. Monarch Housing was the consultant for these three submissions.
CARING, Inc was approved for eight units in Galloway with a capital advance of $1,153,300.
NJ Connect, Inc and the Domus Corporation received funding for an eleven unit project in Linden with a capital advance of $1,765,600.
The supportive housing for the elderly was approved for a seventy four unit project in Middle Township sponsored by the The Diocesan Housing Services Corporation. The capital advance was for $11,249,600.
