This summer Congress is voting on several bills that will increase funding that is crucial to our efforts to end homelessness. The New Jersey Advocacy Network to End Homelessness will be reviewing and adopting its full federal policy agenda over the next few weeks.

Among the policy issues to be addressed at the Congressional Reception are:

  1. HUD’s McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Program including legislation to reauthorize the McKinney-Vento Program as well as adequate funding for FY2010;
  2. SAMHSA funding for services in supportive housing for long-term homeless individuals and families as well as for essential mental health and substance use treatment services linked to permanent supportive housing for chronically homeless individuals and families; and
  3. National Housing Trust Fund funding and implementation.

Without your participation we will not be able to archive these goals!

Take the day and join us in DC so that we can achieve these goals and make a real difference in ending homelessness in NJ!
