Donovan Testifies at SEVRA Hearing for
Financial Services Committee
On May 21, HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan testified before the House Financial Services Committee about the draft version of the Section 8 Voucher Reform Act (SEVRA) that is being offered by Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) is currently circulating among House Members. He discussed the draft SEVRA in relation to the Section 8 funding formula, inspections, rent and income changes, administrative fees, and the Moving-to-Work program.

The Center for Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) will be presenting on the current status of SEVRA as well as the benefits to the community.
