HUD to hold webcasts June 9th to 11th

HUD will be holding a series of online technical assistance webcasts between June 9th-June 11th, 2009 for HUD’s “Recovery Act in Action Week”, where we will take a closer look at HUD’s role in implementing President Obama’s plan to stimulate the American economy by investing in job creation, neighborhood stabilization and energy efficiency through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

All of the online technical assistance webcasts between the hours of 11am and 4pm Eastern on June 9th, 10th, and 11th, 2009. These live interactive sessions will offer viewers a chance to get more information on HUD’s nine ARRA programs through presentations, panel discussions, and question-and-answer opportunities. Every effort will be made to answer as many questions as possible during the webcasts. We encourage you to submit your questions prior to the webcast via the designated email addresses for each event. To see the full schedule click here.

For those of you who are able, you are invited to watch these webcasts at one of the 16 Field Offices across the country where HUD will be hosting “Housing Parties.” The closest ones to New Jersey are in Philadelphia and New York City.

Existing grantees, new or interested applicant organizations, and organizations that are working in communities impacted by HUD’s recovery programs will have the opportunity to convene to view the “Recovery Act in Action: webcasts amongst their peers and alongside HUD Field staff. Space at each of the Field Offices is limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Interested parties must register in advance.
