On January 29th, 2010 over 75 people attended the 2nd Annual Membership Meeting of the New Jersey Advocacy Network to End Homelessness. The event was held in the Statehouse Annex in Committee Room 4. The meeting highlighted the 2009 accomplishments of the Advocacy Network as well as the policy agenda and priorities for 2010. Participants were encouraged by the words of DHS Commissioner Jen Velez and Congressman Rush Holt who shared personally their commitment to ending homelessness in New Jersey.

The Annual Meeting also included the release of the 2009 Congressional Report Card which evaluated our Senators and Representatives voting record on issues of homelessness as well as their participation in the Annual Congressional Reception. The three “champions” that were cited as a part of the report card were Senator Robert Menendez, Representative Rush Holt and Representative Donald Payne.
